backyard dreaming

9.24.2013

to celebrate the first day of fall, chad and i decided to go to the apple orchard and get a little festive ;) we headed down to my favorite apple orchard, emma krumbees. i grew up going to "emma's" and have always loved going there. and because chad knows how much i love going to that orchard, he always makes sure to take me. it was one of those really lovely days outside, super sunny, warm with just the right amount of breeze. we walked around, collected some apples, and checked out the scare crows that they showcase every year.

we also got to go check out the raspberries and pumpkins. we didn't end up getting either (we thought too early for pumpkins) but helped ourself to a little raspberry sampling. there is nothing better then garden fresh raspberries. so juicy. after leaving emma's i told chad i now want an apple tree and a raspberry bush at our future house. he just laughed at me and was like ooooh okay. then i realized how many crazy ideas i come up with for our future home, chickens... backyard garden... now an apple tree AND raspberry bush, a girl can dream can't she ;)

  1. I can't believe pumpkins are out already. It definitely does seem too early, or maybe that's just me not wanting to come to turns with the fact that summer is officially over.
Chickens is not a crazy idea... I will have chickens one day! There's not much better than fresh produce and eggs.

  2. I love your photos! You've managed to capture all of my favorite aspects of fall. With all of your future home ideas, you would probably need acres to plant your garden :)

  4. The old "oooh okay" response, I am so familiar with this. But you're right, we have every right to dream of owning a milking cow named Betsy.
