Brownie Cookies

3.25.2012

Brownie cookies.
Sounds like an interesting combination doesn't it.
This recipe is provides a perfect taste of a brownie with out the mess of trying to get it out of the pan.

1 box brownie mix (19 oz)
1/2 cup flour
6 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoon water
6 ounces milk chocolate chips

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl.
3. Stir until well bended.
4. Drop mix from a teaspoon onto a cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray (Don't forget this step... otherwise cookies don't like to come off)
5. Bake for 9 to 10 minutes.

Once cookies lost their gloss but still feel soft to touch remove from oven. Don't over bake these cookies!  Cool for 1 minute, then move to racks to cool.

Garden time

3.23.2012

Spring air means it is finally time to start preparing that garden!
This summer I am moving home and as a result of this I can finally garden. Last summer I was in Rochester so I was unable to garden, so as a result I am even MORE eager to start planting and creating.

The garden process is so fun, the initial planting, the continuous care of your product, the growing process, all leads up to the anticipation of finally enjoying fresh produce.
Another positive to gardening is chemical free vegetables :)

Laurel decided she wanted to be involved in the fun so we have started making out list of things that we will be growing.

Basil
Mint
Other Herbs
Tomatoes
Red Peppers

The plants above are just some of the ideas we have for this year. I am not sure what else we should plant... any suggestions? My green thumb is itching!
